INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
THE ROUTE
All the stages described here have been covered by the Va' Sentiero expedition.
Although we followed the Sentiero Italia as the main route, we sometimes opted for deviations for pleasure or necessity, based on the advice of local inhabitants and the practicability of the paths at the time of our passage. Either way, we have indicated and justified the detours in the factsheets of the stages involved.
Obviously, the practicability of mountain trails can be subject to changes (even sudden) depending on weather conditions and extraordinary events, such as landslides, fallen trees, neglect; therefore, every hiker must always use common sense and, if the GPS tracks provided here lead him/her to evidently inaccessible paths or in potentially dangerous situations, he/she must retrace his/her steps.

CULTURAL HINTS
The cultural and enogastronomic information included in the factsheets regards not only the places actually touched by Sentiero Italia, but also the surrounding areas, in consideration of those who walk only one stretch and want to spend some time in the arrival stage, exploring what the territory has to offer.
-
SUBDIVISION OF THE STAGES
The criterion applied to organize the stages is that of a hiker with good experience.
Some stages can be extremely tiring and/or long for the less trained: in the factsheets of relevance, we have always specified where it is possible to break the most demanding stages.
-
REMEMBER!
The Sentiero Italia is a high route, not a simple walk: therefore, it requires the necessary preparation and experience.
For our own safety, it is always advisable to go to the mountains in company (therefore, "happiness is only real when shared", especially up there); in any case, it is better to always let our family know where we will be, stage after stage.
